The Holy Eucharist and Holy Orders were instituted during the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday.
Our sweet, gentle, and loving Jesus was betrayed, suffered His Agony in the Garden, and was savagely mistreated before suffering the brutal scourging that preceded his horrific execution.
He endured it all in atonement for our sins while reserving no malice in His Sacred Heart against anyone.
He continues to forgive us through the great Sacrament of Reconciliation, and remains with us until the end of time in the Eucharist.
We cannot fully comprehend how much we are loved and valued by God.
Be sure to love Him in return.
